The Annual IPSA Conference November 2023

The recent Association of Independent Personal Search Agents (IPSA) Annual Conference was a testament to the dynamic and cooperative nature of our industry. The event featured a wide array of perspectives, brought to life by engaging and spirited speakers. Reflecting on the conference, it’s clear that it was more than just an exchange of ideas; it was a celebration of common objectives and collective support.

Jessica Green from Martello highlighted “Collaboration” as the key takeaway from the conference, emphasising the significance of unity in our field for achieving greater success.

We were privileged to gain insights from several esteemed guests.

Dr. Henry Crosby of Martello shared his vast knowledge, enlightening us about the latest Independent Environmental Report in our industry.

Nick Treble and Iryna Minimurzina from Groundsure offered invaluable support and insights at their booth. Adele Sagar and Ryan Hobson from Elan impressed with their innovative views and demonstrations. Neil Walley from Chimni and Jonathan Woodcraft from The Legal Protection Group also provided essential support as sponsors.

Special recognition goes to Lorna Bown from the PCCB and Charlotte Mawson from the TPO for adding depth to our discussions with their presentation and case study. It was also lovely to see Emma Cook from COPSO.

A notable aspect of the conference was Lai Wah Co’s live link presentation from the Bank of England, providing crucial insights into the economic landscape we operate in.

A standout moment was the visit from Bhumika Parmar and Reema Patel of BP Legal Solicitors. Bhumika, the President of the Leicestershire Law Society, and Reema shared valuable insights into conveyancers’ expectations from search providers.

The conference also featured an engaging debate on upfront information between Jessica Green and Nigel Walley, showcasing robust and thought-provoking viewpoints.

These highlights underscore the enriching and productive nature of the conference, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, a core value of IPSA. The day was marked by mutual learning, sharing, and growth, and we’re immensely thankful to all participants for their contributions.

Looking ahead, we’re inspired by the strong sense of community and shared purpose evident at this event. IPSA continues to exemplify collaboration and excellence, and we’re proud to be part of this inspiring group of professionals.
